Chapal Khasnabis, a Prosthetist and Orthotist is a global visionary leader with a lifelong commitment to the fields of prosthetics, orthotics, and assistive technology and rehabilitation. He has served within the Public Health and Innovation (PHI) team under the Department of Essential Medicines & Health Products (EMP) at the World Health Organization (WHO) Geneva. He has led and facilitated groundbreaking global initiatives including guidelines and training packages for wheelchairs, CBR guidelines, Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology (GATE), the formation of the Global Partnership for Assistive Technology: ATscale, the creation of the first WHO-UNICEF Global Report on Assistive Technology and standards for Prosthetics and Orthotics. These initiatives aim to enhance access to essential health technologies for people with disabilities, older individuals, and others in need. As a Social Innovator with 44 years of extensive expertise, Chapal currently serving as Senior Assistive Technology Advisor for the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Yachna Srivastava is Co-founder and Director of EcoKargha Consulting, where she leads strategic advisory on gender equality, climate-resilient livelihoods, and inclusive development, working with non-profits, CSR programmes, and multilateral partners to design and evaluate community-based interventions, especially for women and adolescent girls. She holds an MSW from TISS, Mumbai, and has held leadership/advisory roles over two decades with organisations including PRADAN, JEEVI-KA, BASIX, PATH, CARE, Digital Green, and GIZ. Her work includes scaling climate-smart agriculture and irrigation models and contributing to the nationally adopted ‘Bank Sakhi’ financial inclusion model. At PUBHealth, she strengthens our equity-by-design approach, helping shape community adoption, inclusion, and field implementation strategies so innovations translate into real, sustained access.

Dr. Samar Kumar Ghorui was a senior scientist and former Director of ICAR’s National Research Centre on Camel (Bikaner). He has remarkable contributions spanning camel health and research, enabling camelid immunology and antibody development work. He brings deep domain context on camel resources, field realities, and research execution in national livestock infrastructure. He oversees the programmes in PUBHealth that rely on camelid-derived antibody platforms. He also advises on animal programme design, feasibility, and collaboration pathways with national facilities.

Sarah Nabia is a Research Faculty member in the Global Disease Epidemiology and Control (GDEC) program within the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and is based at the International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC). She holds an MPH and MBA from Johns Hopkins University and brings training in economics and policy-informed public health practice. Her work focuses on implementation science and health systems research to improve uptake of childhood and maternal vaccines across low- and middle-income countries, including multi-country mixed-methods studies examining delivery barriers and frontline health worker performance. She has also contributed to evidence synthesis on vaccine service delivery and integration. At PUBHealth, she mentors programmes on rigorous evaluation design, implementation research, and evidence generation that strengthen real-world adoption pathways, especially for interventions intended for scale in resource-constrained settings.

Mr. Shyamal Kumar Sardar is a dedicated social worker and community advocate. He brings a unique analytical perspective to public service after spending 30 years as a Chief Manager at State Bank of India. He retired early from the banking sector in 2008 and worked as Chief Executive Officer in two large business houses in Kolkata. Left the job of CEO in 2020 to pursue community welfare full-time. Apart from social work, he is working as a financial freelancer.

In the year 1992, he joined at “Juktibadi Sanskritik Sanstha”, a science and snakebite awareness organization in the state of West Bengal in India. Now, he is working as President of that organization.

Dr. Sayantan Banerjee is an Infectious Diseases physician and Additional Professor at AIIMS Kalyani. His work spans clinical infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, and translational health innovation, with prior experience supporting antimicrobial resistance and public-health priorities in regional and national contexts. Dr. Banerjee is a leading expert in snakebite envenomation and a member of the National Snakebite Taskforce of India. Within PUBHealth, he provides clinical and translational guidance, ensuring that product specifications, validation strategy, and deployment pathways remain grounded in bedside realities and public-system constraints.

Mr. Marut Deb is a snake rescuer and community awareness advocate from Chakdaha, Nadia, West Bengal. He is actively involved in snake rescue, safe human–snake coexistence, and spreading awareness about snakebite prevention and management.

Dr. Swarup Sarkar is a physician-epidemiologist and global public health leader with long experience across communicable diseases, health systems, and health diplomacy. He has held senior roles associated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international health programmes, with a track record in shaping evidence-to-policy work across regions. At PUBHealth, he advises on public-health strategy, stakeholder alignment, and implementation plans, so that innovations can transition from prototypes into programmes that can be adopted at scale.

Mr. Bijan Bhattacharya, Secretary of Juktibadi Sanskritik Sanstha, Canning, is a distinguished field practitioner and an expert in snake identification and snakebite-related community awareness in West Bengal. With over three decades of continuous field experience, he has extensively documented snakebite cases, patient symptomatology, and regional snake ecology. He is widely recognised for his practical expertise in identifying venomous and non-venomous snakes and for training healthcare professionals, community health workers, and local communities in snakebite recognition and prevention. At PUBHealth, he mentors the snakebite programme by bringing critical field knowledge, regional species expertise, and community-grounded insight into product development, training, and implementation strategy.

Dr. Arka Bagchi is a scientist with an active research track record. His work bridges experimental biology with translational direction. He supports rigorous study design, reproducible lab execution, and publication-quality documentation. At PUBHealth, he leads the biotechnology R&D across early discovery and assay development. His key role is to ensure that programmes move forward with clear experimental checkpoints, quality controls, and data packages suitable for partner and regulatory conversations.

Dr. Doel Pal is an experienced researcher specialising in molecular biology. She is actively associated with academic research that emphasises careful experimental execution and scientific documentation. At PUBHealth, she supports wet-lab R&D workflows and contributes to protocol execution, assay runs, data capture, and iterative optimisation required for early-stage biologics and diagnostic work.

Sreya Chatterjee is an early-career scientist. She supports PUBHealth’s biotechnology programmes with a focus on hands-on experimental work and structured documentation. In early-stage translational settings, she contributes to core lab operations.

Ritwik Bhattacharya is a trained professional from the National Institute of Locomotor Disabilities (NILD), India. He leads the engineering execution for PUBHealth’s assistive technology vertical. He drives system architecture and product development, translating user needs into reliable prototypes, integrating sensing and on-device intelligence where required. His role is central to taking assistive concepts (e.g., vision assistance and prosthetic systems) from demonstrations to field-ready devices that can be deployed and maintained in real-world settings.

Sulagna Ganguly is a student of Applied Optics and Photonics. She supports PUBHealth’s assistive technology development with a product-oriented engineering mindset. Her work focuses on usability and the practicality of the “ThirdEye”. She ensures that interfaces are intuitive and that devices remain serviceable in resource-constrained environments. Within the team, she contributes to the iterative build–test–refine cycle needed to convert early designs into dependable assistive tools.

Kallal Biswas supports PUBHealth operations, helping to maintain momentum across programme coordination and records. Within PUBHealth, his role is to keep the internal machine running, including timelines, coordination, documentation, and cross-team follow-through that allows scientific and engineering teams to stay focused on building and validation.
